Young Inventors To Be – Advice From peers Who Made It by Rita Selle-Grider Getting advice from someone who has been in your shoes is an invaluable tool to help you in your success. Being an inventor is never easy. What you may think is the best new idea, may be shot down by others who just do not have your vision or insight. You can go through ups and downs that can be a little hard to take at times. That is why you need advice from your peers, advice from peers who made it and accomplished what you hope to accomplish. Before you get advice, you have to find out where to get it from. You can start by looking into young inventors programs. Research young inventors and try to find out if you can get in contact with them. You should try to meet other young inventors and try to network your way into talking with them. The advice you can get from your peers is priceless. Nobody knows the struggles you have had like they do. Nobody knows the challenges and heartaches like they do. You will get advice from someone who has been in your shoes and that is something worth listening to. A young inventor with some great advice is Jenessa Largent who created her own organization. Harms Way 4 Kids, her organization, creates and distributes hemp bracelets made in red, white, blue and yellow. These bracelets honor soldiers fighting in Iraq. Jenessa was able to reach 20,000 requests by the end of her first month in operation. Jenessa had a goal. She had a very well set goal about honoring Iraqi veterans. She set out to create something that would do that while also sharing it with others. Your Goals And Passion Are the Key By sticking to her goal and persevering she was able to create an amazing organization that has skyrocketed in success. Having a strong goal is important to any young inventor. A goal will keep you moving and it would help you to form your ideas and plans. With a goal you have something to work towards. Goals allow you to be committed and focused on the final result which keeps you working and stops you from giving up. Another young inventor who has something to share is Janine Licare who took her passion for saving endangered animals and created her organization, Kids Saving the Rainforest in Costa Rica. Janine’s organization helps to save endangered animals. Her organization organizes efforts to plant trees and preserve the rainforest. Janine likes to care for the baby animals in the rainforest. Janine had passion. She was so passionate about helping endangered animals that she organized great efforts that are doing a lot of good for them. Her passionate nature propelled her. You have to have passion about what you want to accomplish. Without passion your efforts will not be whole hearted and you could easily lose your path. Beyond what you can learn form these two young inventors you can also learn from other inventors. We usually accept common answers and never try to think outside of the box. Inventors do, though, and that leads to great There have been many quotes, sayings and pieces of advice handed down through generations of inventors. All of this advice is worth listening to and considering because it comes from people who have done what you seek to do. All of these pieces of advice, from your peers and that handed down, can help you. You need all the help you can get because being an inventor is not always an easy thing. Keep yourself focused and do not be afraid of the unknown. You will succeed if only you try. |
